We are an exclusive forum for owners of the Honda Shadow VT-600 (otherwise reknown as the VLX --- unless in Southeast Asia where they call them "Steed" rather than Shadow). We stemmed from the Shadow Riders Forum, our "father forum" per se. The VLX was one of the best selling motorcycle models in the world, and our numbers were growing far beyond the capacity of one section of a multi-sectioned manufacturer based forum. It became evident that we "VLXers" were a force to be reckoned with! Hence the birth of our new and exclusive VLX Forum on May 25, 2001.

We have many various sections (a.k.a. "folders") at the forum, each dealing with a specific topic. From top to bottom they are:

VLX Writers-General Discussion --- As it says, general discussion. ANything/everything VLX and motorcycling in general is discussed here.

Coolest In The Shadows --- A submission section for the coveted monthly title. At the end of the year we have a poll to determine the Coolest of the Year as well, where top honors goes to the absolute coolest.

Parts, Repairs, Tools & How to --- This is the technical end of these mid-sized marvels. If you have a specific question about how something works, where to get it, or how to stick it on...this is the place.

The Staff at the VLX Forum
The VLX forum is hosted by a fellow that goes by the forum sur-name "Shadow Shack", our "VRCCC President" per se. VLXXX is our assistant moderator (or VRCCC Vice President) accompanied by (VRCCC Road Captain) skyjac and (VRCCC First Officer) Swany6mm.

The letter designation stands for "V-Twin, Lowered, eXtended rake." Unless you happen to have a Japanese model Steed, they're tagged "VLS" with the difference being a Springer fork (what a market!).

What does that mean in the real world? Pure middle-weight perfection. Good looks, charm, and grace wrapped up in a stylin' & profilin' classic chopper-esque style. Simply put, it's the Coolest in the Shadows. "VLXcellence and VLXuberance" that allows you to Ride with Pride like only a VLXer can. Be warned however, make fun of a VLX and get stabbed in the liver...
