Real World Customs from our own Forum Members
This page is dedicated to those that spent many an hour drooling (and many a dollar on new stuff) over wild customizing ideas and pursued their dreams and visions with their VLX. These pics are not taken from random websites, rather they are real world customs whose members are actively involved in the VLX Forum and will gladly point you in the right direction.

"VLX Max" 1992 VLX
(Shadow Shack)

4" over forks on raked wide-glide triple trees, modified rear shock (3" lower), drag bars on pullback risers, bobbed fenders, color-matched grill and lowers, hypercharger and performance pipes makes this one a noticeable looker.

1994 VLX
Elmo4Fun

A sweeping tail dragger fender, tear-drop styled air cleaner, custom lighting, fat tank, Travelcade seat, Vance&Hines Cruzers, and new handlebars gave this '94 VLX Standard a new non-standard attitude.

95 VLX Deluxe
kgor1

This bike already looked pretty good when it was purchased from a fellow VLX Forum member, now it has been rehashed into a sweet raked hardtail with some very nice features including bobbed rear fender, solo seat, upswept exhaust, 21" front wheel, drag bar, and a self-fabricated air filter set-up.

{bike has been sold, but kgor still hangs out with us on his stock bike}
<<< Raked and Rigid
chromedout

This one features a custom velocity-stack air cleaner with DG Kickers exhaust, raked trees and hardtail rear, solid rear wheel covers, a drag bar mounted on straight risers, forward controls, and some custom paint to make it a show worthy custom.

Slick Bobber >>>

Anti-herO (bobbedvlx)

This beast has a whole slew of custom goodness going on. Most noteable would be the machined-to-fit 21" front and 18" rear laced wheels. Added to the equationis a set of straight pipes and a repalcement air filter, a trailer fender and SS750 tank, drag bars and a hardtail strut round it off.

Wolf30999

Wolf went to a minimalist approach for a sweet ride, with many personal touches along the way.

This is just too cool >>>
